Pulling influence from punk, hip-hop, and electronic, self-contained Australian talent SLOE JACK is crafting fierce, energetic bangers bursting with rawness and honesty. He speaks bluntly about angst, love, anger, pain, and growth on his songs, which boast cutting-edge production and an unforgettable voice.
In February, SLOE debuted with “Number” and quickly followed with “Parade”, “Renegade”, and “MINE; between the four singles, he’s racked up 50+ editorial playlists between Spotify, Apple, and Tidal, covered Spotify’s Punk Unleashed and Tidal’s .WAV, sold 44 music NFTs on Sound.xyz, and was supported on Snapchat, Triple J Unearthed, Laneway Fest and radio.
Now, he’s unveiling his debut project, BACKSTAB — a grungy, energetic exploration of self-sabotage underpinned by dirty bass, souped-up drums, and unconventional flows.

DESCRIPTION
On the project: “Since childhood, I have dealt with an intense need for excitement, always preferring to stay on my toes. BACKSTAB describes the times where this has tripped me up. My thirst for constant stress goes back to my intense childhood, leading me to moments of self-sabotage in an attempt to create the instability I’d grown used to. This EP dissects those moments as it sheds light on chronic stress, fear and trauma.”
On the focus track: “SLOW DOWN” deals with the struggle of having big dreams in a room full of doubters. They say you need to slow down, but you were born in the fast lane.”
“LIKE IT”, “SLOW DOWN”, “BACKSTAB”, and “ACTOR” were all written, produced and performed by SLOE JACK, with mix and masters by Ryan Dulude.
